Cash 4 Gold on Two and a Half Men

Charlie Harper (portrayed by Charlie Sheen), one of the main personalities of CBS’s “Two and a Half Men”, has recently shown that his need for obtaining dates knows no boundaries, even extending into OUR universe here at Cash 4 Gold!

In the most recent, Two and a Half Men episode, “A Bottle of Wine and a Jackhammer”, Charlie places a phone call to Cash 4 Gold after catching our commercial on TV. He tells the representative…

“I just saw a lady on your commercial sell her wedding ring for five hundred dollars!” then goes on to declare …“I want to meet that woman, she’s hot, and we know her marriage isn’t working out”.

The truth of the matter is that some of us just don’t wear, or in Charlie’s bachelorette case, have the need for our pieces of gold anymore. Why let it go to waste collecting dust and cobwebs in your dresser box or attic? Send it in to turn it into something useful and immediate, cash.

If Charlie knows, then you should too.

Gold Hits Record Price

TV screens, newspapers and computer monitors have been alive this past week with the news: the price of gold has hit record highs.

When gold hit $1,277.50 last week it had attained a new height that few would have thought possible only a few years ago. Many analysts believe the price will remain high should the U.S. Federal Reserve decide this week to continue to keep interest rates low for an “extended period.”

The rise in the price of gold means that the time has never been better for men and women all across the country to collect cash for unwanted or broken gold items that otherwise would just be collecting dust.

Congressman Calls for Audit of U.S. Gold Holdings

A Republican Congressman from Texas is reportedly planning to introduce a bill calling for an independent audit of the U.S. gold held at Fort Knox.

Fort Knox claims that billions of dollars worth of gold bullion are stored away in its Kentucky vaults. The secure facility is encased in 750 tons of reinforced steel, as well as thousands of cubic feet of concrete and granite.

Cash4Gold’s facilities are somewhat smaller, but also incredibly secure. Armed guards patrol the premises, which is under 24-hour surveillance from high-definition cameras. A whole range of security procedures and systems are in place to ensure that the broken and unwanted gold items that are processed daily are secure.

Gold Bar Stolen From Florida Museum

At Cash4Gold we always follow gold-related news. An unusual item crossed our desks today—thieves brazenly stole a $550,000 gold bar from a Key West, Florida, museum.

The gold bar was taken from the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, where it has been housed for the past 25 years. The bar was discovered by Mel Fisher and his crew in 1980 on the ocean floor at the scene of a shipwreck.

The museum's insurance company has offered a $10,000 reward for the return of the 16.5-karat gold bar, which weighs 74.85 ounces. Its gold is worth about $50,000, but the uniqueness of the piece places the bar's value at $550,000, according to the museum.

Such an unusual item is unlikely to ever make its way to Cash4Gold. Most customers send in a collection of various broken or unwanted gold, silver or platinum items in exchange for cash. Cash4Gold has an entire system of security procedures in place to identify suspicious items, and the company utilizes various security practices at its secure, state-of-the-art processing facility, setting the standard for the mail-in gold buying industry that it created. Cash4Gold's security screening process was prominently featured on a television report from WAFF in Huntsville, Alabama.

To Have but Not to Hold

For years there has been discussion about the divorce rate in America, with some outlets reporting that the divorce rate could be as high as 50 percent. Reliable statistics on the topic are hard to come by, but a conservative estimate places the number somewhere north of 40 percent.

A figure that we would be interested in seeing is what percentage of brides and grooms exchange rings made of gold or platinum. Platinum wedding bands have increased in popularity during the past few years, and gold has remained popular.

Cash4Gold accepts gold, silver and platinum items. We melt them down in our furnaces more than 14 days after our customers accept our offer for the unwanted items. If you have a gold, silver or platinum ring given to you by a former husband or wife and you are looking for a way to get those items out of your life, then why not give Cash4Gold a try?

World Cup Doubles in Value

The World Cup, one of the premier sporting events in the world, will kick-off in South Africa next month. Soccer fans all the world over are gearing up to cheer on their teams and follow the month-long action.

The top team in the world will raise the 18 karat gold World Cup trophy in victory. The melt value of the trophy, which refers to the actual amount of precious metal it contains, has doubled since he last World Cup. The following press release was sent out in the UK by Cash4Gold this week.

World Cup Doubles in Value
Surging gold price means World Cup Trophy now worth more than £126,000

LONDON, 24 May 2010: Football fans across the world are counting down until the start of the game’s most exciting tournament. And for the teams playing in next month’s FIFA World Cup there is now even more at stake. For today Cash4Gold, the world’s number 1 gold buyer direct from the public, can reveal that the World Cup trophy has almost doubled in value since the last World Cup. The unprecedented rise in the price of gold has meant that the melt value of the coveted 18-carat gold trophy has gone from a cool £65,000 to an astonishing £126,500 since 2006.

The price of gold keeps hitting new heights and reached a record high of $1,250 an ounce on Friday. Some industry experts believe that rising inflation will push it higher so the trophy may be worth even more by the 11 July when it is held aloft by the winning team.

The FIFA World Cup trophy was commissioned for the 1974 tournament and designed by Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga. It is made of solid 18-carat gold and was valued at £17,000 when it was created.
Whilst England may not be the favourite to win the tournament, Wayne Rooney must surely be in with a good chance of scooping the World Cup Golden Boot award

“Football trophies are obviously of more than monetary worth to fans and teams”, said Jeff Aronson, CEO and Founder of Cash4Gold. “And FIFA would probably have something to say if Fabio Capelllo sent in the trophy to Cash4Gold should England win! But for everyone else, Cash4Gold is a safe and easy option for those looking to turn any unwanted or broken gold, silver, or platinum items into cash.”

Melt value is the amount of actual precious metal contained in an item that can be extracted and recycled by a company such as Cash4Gold, and does not account for decorative, artistic or historic value.

Cash4Gold Vending

Cash4Gold always follows the latest gold-related news, and here is one item that recently caught our eye:

The Emirates Palace Hotel, a leading hotel in Abu Dhabi, is a place already known for its opulence and grand luxury. Last week the hotel introduced a “bling machine” of epic proportions—a gold dispensing ATM.

The device monitors the fluctuating daily gold price and customers purchase items according to that price. The machine offers bars of up to 10 grams of pure gold as well as customized coins.

And if that is not amazing enough, the actual casing of this glorified vending machine is covered with a thin layer of gold.

Check out a photo of the machine below...

Cash4Gold Attends American Red Cross South Florida Region Gala

Cash4Gold was proud to attend the recent Red Cross dinner billed as a Salute to the Troops and Humanitarian of the Year.

Cash4Gold was among a handful of local companies whose contributions made the event possible. Cash4Gold’s “Thank a Veteran” sponsorship enabled three members of the U.S. military and their wives to join the four Cash4Gold team members who attended.

Seated all together at a table underwritten by Cash4Gold, the team members conveyed their deep appreciation to the soldiers and their wives for their service and commitment to this country.

Cash4Gold has been a staunch supporter of both the Red Cross and the U.S. armed forces, donating at various times during the past years in order to support the tremendous humanitarian work that they each carry out, often in partnership together.

Cash4Gold Announces Latest Sponsorship of the American Red Cross

Cash4Gold, the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, today announced it is sponsoring a Red Cross gala dinner honoring the men and women of the U.S. armed forces. The full text of the press release is below…

CASH4GOLD SUPPORTS THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AS A PROUD SPONSOR OF ITS SALUTE TO THE ARMED FORCES GALA

Pompano Beach, Fla. – April 29, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, will participate as a major sponsor of an upcoming Red Cross gala dinner honoring the men and women of the U.S. armed forces. The Salute to the Troops event, which also pays tribute to the Red Cross’ partnership with the military and recognizes the humanitarian of the year, is being held Friday, April 30 at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Cash4Gold’s contribution as a “Thank a Veteran Sponsor” will provide seats at the event for six members of the military who otherwise would not have been able to attend.

Cash4Gold has a long-standing history of supporting the great work done by the American Red Cross. Following widespread wildfires in Southern California in 2009, Cash4Gold mobilized employees to make donations to assist with the Red Cross disaster relief efforts.

Cash4Gold also supported the Red Cross in its aid efforts following the devastating earthquake in Haiti in January 2010. The world’s leading consumer gold buyer enlisted celebrities to help the company donate to the American Red Cross and gathered hundreds of shoes, clothes and other supplies which were shipped directly to Haiti to help those affected by the disaster. In addition, the company matched dollar-for-dollar the money raised by its more than 300 employees, many of whom had family directly impacted by the quake.

The pioneer of the mail-in gold buying industry also has been a strong supporter of America’s armed forces. Cash4Gold sponsored a series of clinics last year in partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps that paired up soldiers being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan with mixed martial artists who taught them close combat and ground fighting techniques. The events benefited the Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation, a non-profit organization established to honor and raise money for American soldiers wounded in action.

Cash4Gold’s various charitable efforts are described on the recently launched website www.Cash4GoldCharity.com. Visitors to the site will see photos and images from many previous Cash4Gold philanthropic endeavors, most of which have been fueled by Cash4Gold celebrity spokesman and three-time Grammy Award winner MC Hammer.

In late 2009, Hammer was on-hand with Cash4Gold in South Florida where the company is based, visiting ill children at the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital to spread holiday cheer and handing out Christmas gifts to thousands of deserving children and their families. Previously, the rap icon joined Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson in distributing food to families hard hit by the recession in the Stockton, CA area. After widespread flooding in Georgia and a series of natural disasters in the Philippines, American Samoa and Indonesia in October 2009, Hammer turned to his 1.8 million followers on Twitter to mobilize support for The Red Cross and international aid organization FeedTheChildren, which Hammer and Cash4Gold have also strongly supported through the years.

Precious Metals Recycling Recognized on 40th Anniversary of Earth Day

Cash4Gold joined millions of Americans in celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd. The world’s #1 consumer gold buyer is an innovator when it comes to the recycling of precious metals.

Cash4Gold’s model is based on the recycling of unwanted or broken precious metals that consumers send to the company for cash. Once Cash4Gold processes and pays for the items, they are then sent to the melt room at the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters in South Florida. Cash4Gold then melts down the gold and silver items into large bars in an eco-friendly process.

Gold and silver used to make jewelry and coins are generally mined from the ground and manufactured. The mining for new precious metals, as opposed to recycling the material, takes a drastic toll on the planet due to the use of toxic chemicals needed to extract the metals from the earth. Coinlink.com posted this story related to the benefits of recycling precious metals.

The article mentions the term “Green Bullion” which coincidentally is also the name of Cash4Gold’s parent company – Green Bullion Financial Services. In addition, there is something particularly fitting about the term given how “green” Cash4Gold’s unique recycling service is.

The Times, a leading UK-based newspaper has reported thatthere was more gold scrapped worldwide than mined during 2009. The article, which is attracting the attention of environmentally-conscious consumers, mentions Cash4Gold and credits the growth of gold buyers for this green, global phenomenon.

Defensive Gem Made in Baseball Last Night in San Francisco

Last week, we noted a Gold Glove-caliber defensive play from White Sox southpaw Mark Buehrle and on Tuesday night we saw an equally great diving play by Pittsburgh Pirates hurler Paul Maholm. (We follow all “gold” related activity so we felt compelled to blog about both.)

In the bottom of the third inning, a slow dribbler was hit between Maholm and first base. Maholm quickly sprinted from the mound, picked up the ball while falling to the ground, and flipped the ball from his glove to the first baseman. The radio and TV announcers were amazed that he was able to complete the difficult play. They even compared the effort to Buehrle’s play on opening day.

Buehrle received his 2009 AL Gold Glove trophy on Saturday and Maholm threw his hat into the mix for this year’s NL Gold Glove race with last night’s play seen here.

Maholm’s acrobatic effort was touted as the #1 play of the day by ESPN’s Top Plays countdown.

Cash4Gold Estimates Melt Value for Masters Trophy and Medallion

Cash4Gold today put out the following press release including the estimated melt value of the prizes handed out Sunday at the Masters golf tournament.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cash4Gold Estimates Melt Value for Masters Trophy and Medallion at $5,569

Pompano Beach, Fla. – April 12, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, congratulates Phil Mickelson who outshot the competition at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia to win the prestigious Masters golf tournament this weekend. Mickelson was awarded the legendary Green Jacket on Sunday, along with two additional prizes including a gold medallion and a sterling silver replica of the actual Masters trophy, which is permanently housed at Augusta National.

While most golf fans know that each year the winner receives the storied Green Jacket, they might not be aware of the other items awarded to the champion.

The gold medallion that Phil Mickelson earned has a diameter of 3.4 inches and weighs 2.3 ounces. The medallion features an image of the Founders Circle at the Augusta National clubhouse. If the medallion were made of 24 karat gold, the melt value of the item would be approximately $2,645 according to an evaluation done at Cash4Gold’s state-of-the-art headquarters. Melt value refers to the value of actual precious metals content included in an item. This does not account for the item’s craftsmanship or its artistic, historic, or sentimental value.

The 10-inch wide sterling silver trophy that the winner receives weighs 12 pounds. If the 12-pound trophy is made entirely of sterling silver, Cash4Gold estimates that the melt value of the trophy is roughly $2,924.

“Phil Mickelson played extremely well this weekend to capture the Masters title, outperforming the competition at Augusta National,” said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. “We understand that Mickelson is not likely to send in his gold medallion and silver trophy to Cash4Gold. Nevertheless we encourage other Americans to send in non-sentimental and unwanted and broken gold and silver items for cash.”

Consumers interested in requesting a Jewelry Return Pack can do so by visiting www.Cash4Gold.com or by calling 1-877-GOLD-590. Cash4Gold operates its fast, easy and secure mail-in gold buying service in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.

Gold Glove-Caliber Play Made During Baseball’s Opening Day

Cash4Gold follows all gold-related news, so we were definitely paying attention when 2009 American League Gold Glove Award-winning pitcher Mark Buehrle kicked off the 2010 season with a spectacular defensive play on Monday.

In the top of the 5th inning in Chicago, a ground ball hit straight up the middle was kicked by Buehrle’s left foot. The ball rolled toward the first base line and Buehrle proceeded to chase after it. With his back to first base, Buehrle used his glove to miraculously flip the ball through his legs to the first baseman who caught it with his bare hand, barely beating the runner at first base.

The video of Buehrle’s outstanding defensive play can be viewed here. Many highlight shows on television have already touted the play as the front-runner for the 2010 defensive play of the year.

The ace pitcher has put together quite a collection of precious metals during his stellar baseball career. In 2005, he won a World Series ring with the White Sox as the team hoisted the Commissioner’s Trophy. Buehrle also threw a perfect game during the 2009 season.

Unidentified Golden Object Plays a Role in Last Night’s NBA Game

During the Denver Nuggets game on April 1, forward Chris “Birdman” Andersen had an interesting run-in with a mystery golden object, thought by some to be a ring or coin. Andersen went down with an ankle injury during the fourth quarter on Thursday night and teammates and the training staff rushed to his aid. While trainers were examining Andersen on the floor, an unidentified golden object (UGO) fell from somewhere and landed straight in his mouth. Anderson turned his head immediately and spit out the UGO.

ESPN.com posted a story here surrounding the UGO that ended up in Andersen’s mouth. Cash4Gold is happy to evaluate the mystery nugget if Andersen or the Denver Nuggets would like to send it to the company via a pre-paid and insured Jewelry Return Pack.

Press Release on CNN Visit

Cash4Gold today put out the following press release calling attention to a recent story on the company done by CNN. CNN, which bills itself as "The Most Trusted Name in News," recently visited the Cash4Gold Headquarters, interviewing Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CNN Goes Behind the Scenes at Cash4Gold’s State-of-the-Art, High-Security Processing Center

Pompano Beach, Fla. – March 29, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, recently invited cable news giant CNN into its cutting-edge South Florida headquarters. CNN cameras were the first to catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the new Cash4Gold facility that opened in 2009.

CNNMoney.com posted an inside look at the Cash4Gold facility following the channel’s recent visit. The video, seen here, offers a step-by-step snapshot of what happens when a customer’s Jewelry Return Pack arrives at the Cash4Gold processing facility.

In the video, the CNN reporter and camera crew tour Cash4Gold headquarters with CEO Jeff Aronson, who discusses what happens when the company receives a Jewelry Return Pack in the mail. The company runs through a series of security checks before the package proceeds to the Cash4Gold testing and processing departments for evaluation.

Cash4Gold uses three different methods to test the purity of gold: electronic testing, scratch testing and x-ray fluorescence testing. After each item is appraised based on its melt value, a check is cut for the customer. Melt value refers to the value of actual precious metals included in an item and does not account for the decorative, historic or sentimental value.

Once the customer receives the Cash4Gold check, he/she has 12 days from the date on the check to decide if he/she wants to accept the offer or to have the items sent back with the postage and insurance paid. Over 90% of Cash4Gold customers accept the valuation of their items and proceed to cash the check.

During this 12 day holding period, the items are housed in Cash4Gold’s vault. Aronson explains that the highly-secure vault sits atop over 20,000 pounds of steel, is surrounded by 16-inch thick walls and protected by a multi-layered security system. Olympic Gold Medalist Asked About Cash4Gold

Cash4Gold was the topic of conversation during an episode of the popular entertainment television show TMZ. The crew ran into Olympic bobsled gold-medalist Steve Holcomb outside of a popular Los Angeles restaurant. Holcomb showed off his gold medal from the Vancouver Olympics.

While taking a look at the medal, the reporter asked if Holcomb would consider sending the medal to Cash4Gold. Of course, he was not going to send in his prized medal to the mail-in gold buyer for cash since the item has a great sentimental value and represents years of hard work.

Cash4Gold
pays for items based on melt value, which refers to the actual value of the precious metals content included in the item. Melt value does not account for the sentimental or historical value of an item.

It is Hammer’s first appearance in a Cash4Gold ad since the much talked-about 2009 Super Bowl ad featuring the rap icon and the late television legend Ed McMahon.

In the spot, a company representative reminds consumers that Cash4Gold is the original name in mail-in gold buying, and explains the various security measures in place to ensure a safe transaction. Celebrity spokesman and international music sensation MC Hammer makes an appearance in the commercial highlighting the company’s upcoming millionth transaction and the associated celebration sweepstakes. As of March 9, customers that send in Packs automatically qualify for a chance to win $2,500 and the opportunity to appear in a future Cash4Gold television spot alongside MC Hammer.

CASH4GOLD APPLAUDS GOLD EXHIBIT AT LATIN AMERICAN MUSEUM

Cash4Gold today sent out the following release...

Pompano Beach, Fla. – March 5, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, regularly keeps track of the latest news surrounding precious metals and learned of the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum located in San José, the capital city of Costa Rica.

The Gold Museum opened in 1982 as a part of the Museums of the Central Bank of Costa Rica located in the Plaza de la Cultura. The Pre-Columbian Gold Museum is housed in the same area as the Numismatic Museum and an art exhibition space. The museum began collecting the artifacts in the 1950s and the complete collection currently consists of around 1,600 items. At any given time, about 900 pieces are on display in the museum.

The gold artifacts draw inspiration from the diverse species of the surrounding landscape. Many of the objects include small pendants in the shape of butterflies, monkeys, jungle cats and crocodiles. With the discovery of vast gold deposits in Costa Rica, early Pre-Columbian era artisans were able to make numerous items such as pendants and even larger traded goods. Visitors to Costa Rica can find more information on the museum at www.museosdelbancocentral.org.

This exhibit is proof that gold has been a valuable commodity for hundreds of years. Gold has always provided a value for consumers regardless of the era. Today, gold prices are near record highs, which makes it the perfect time to turn unwanted, broken or unused items into cash. The process is secure and easy. For consumers with items of high sentimental or historical values, such as the pieces at The Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, sending them to Cash4Gold for their melt value might not be the best option. Melt value refers to the value of actual precious metal included in an item and does not account for the sentimental or historic value.

Cash4Gold provides an easy and secure method for Americans to monetize broken and unwanted gold items from the comfort of their own homes. Customers can simply request a pre-paid Jewelry Return Pack from Cash4Gold and mail in their items. After receiving the Pack and sending in the items, Cash4Gold assays the contents of the package at its state-of-the-art facility and then sends out a check for the melt value. If consumers aren’t completely satisfied with the valuation, they can request that Cash4Gold return their items within 12 days of the date printed on the check at no charge to the customer.

For more information or to request a Pack from Cash4Gold, please visit www.Cash4Gold.com or call 1-877-GOLD-590. Additional news is available on the Cash4Gold blog.

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 18, 2010 - Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, follows news related to the precious metals industry and noticed an interesting item this week. According to a web report, a company in Japan has poured the “world’s largest gold bar.”

This gold bar, reportedly the biggest on the planet, measures 17.9 inches by 8.9 inches by 6.7 inches high and weighs about 551.15 pounds. Its size might best be compared to a shoe box. Based on the dimensions of the gold bar, the story reports that the huge gold bar would have an estimated precious metals melt value of nearly $10,000,000. Melt value refers to the value of actual precious metals included in an item and does not account for the historical or sentimental value of a crafted piece of jewelry.

While it has never received an item as large as the Japanese gold bar, Cash4Gold receives items each day at its high-security, state-of-the-art processing and melting facility in South Florida.

Cash4Gold Estimates Melt Value of Super Bowl Trophy

The following press release hit the wires yesterday. In this latest in a series of humorous releases, Cash4Gold estimated the melt value of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Read on for the full text or check it out here.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CASH4GOLD ESTIMATES MELT VALUE OF SUPER BOWL TROPHY AT $1,450

World’s Leading Mail-In Gold Buyer Congratulates the New Orleans Saints

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 12, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, congratulates the New Orleans Saints, who captured the 2010 Super Bowl title. Following the game, the victors hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the field in Miami before the energetic crowd and hundreds of millions of other people around the world watching on television.

The highly coveted seven-pound trophy is made entirely of sterling silver and stands at 22 inches tall. It is crafted in the image of a regulation-sized football perched on a solid base. Appraisers at Cash4Gold’s state-of-the-art processing facility in Florida have estimated the melt value of the trophy at $1,450 based upon the current price of silver, while recognizing that the trophy is in reality truly priceless.

Melt value refers only to the quantity of actual precious metals included in an item and does not account for artistic, historic, or sentimental value. In the case of the Super Bowl trophy, its fine craftsmanship, as well as its historical value and the tremendous athletic achievement it represents clearly make it infinitely more valuable than its mere melt value.

“With the Super Bowl taking place here in South Florida, I was fortunate enough to be in the middle of all the excitement at the game joined by my good friend MC Hammer,” said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. “We congratulate the Saints on their historic and memorable victory. As a lifelong football fan I would not dream of having the Vince Lombardi Trophy melted down at Cash4Gold’s high-security headquarters. However, we would be honored to subject the trophy to a detailed metallurgical analysis using our state-of-the-art assaying equipment if the Saints want to bring it by.”

Cash4Gold on the Grammys

Cash4Gold today issued the following press release related to last night's Grammy awards.

With typical good humor, the company offered its congratulations to the talented artists and provided an approximate melt value for the famous statuettes presented to the winners. The estimation assumed that the trophies were made of 24 karat gold (they are not) and assumed that the spot price was $1,080 per ounce.

As it has done in prior press releases, the company took the opportunity to explain the concept of melt value, reminding readers that melt value refers only to value of the actual precious metals content included in an item. The company noted that the fine craftsmanship of the Grammy awards themselves, as well as their sentimental and historical value and the musical achievement that they represent, make them infinitely more valuable than their mere melt value.

CASH4GOLD CONGRATULATES 2010 GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS, ESTIMATING MELT VALUE OF THE FAMOUS TROPHIES

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 1, 2010 - Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the world’s leading mail-in gold buyer, congratulates all of the winners last night who took home hardware at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Three-time Grammy Award-winner and hip hop legend MC Hammer works very closely with Cash4Gold and has been associated with the company ever since he appeared in the company’s 2009 Super Bowl advertisement with the late and great Ed McMahon.

Dozens of the top names in music picked up trophies during the industry’s biggest night, which was held at The Staples Center in Los Angeles. All of the winners went home with the famous award that reportedly weighs four pounds and four ounces. Assuming the Grammy trophies were comprised of solid gold, the sixty-eight ounce trophy would be worth an estimated $73,440 in melt value with gold currently trading at approximately $1,080 an ounce. Melt value refers only to value of the actual precious metals content included in an item.

In reality, the melt value of the Grammy statuette is worth far less since it purportedly contains only a small amount of gold in the form of gold plating and is composed mostly of other metals such as zinc and aluminum. However, the fine craftsmanship of the trophies, as well as their sentimental and historical value and the musical achievement that they represent make them infinitely more valuable than their mere melt value.

“We congratulate all of the talented winners from last night’s Grammy Awards,” said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. “Winning a Grammy is the culmination of hard work and dedication for each of the artists. We work hard to provide our customers with a top-notch customer experience, just as these musicians dedicate themselves to their music.”

Cash4Gold offers its convenient mail-in gold buying service to consumers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Cash4Gold Appears in Leading Dutch Publication

Cash4Gold was recently the focus of a large feature in the second-largest Dutch newspaper The Algemeen Dagblad.

The article on Cash4Gold was titled “Rapper Also Recruits in the Netherlands for Gold Melter Cash4Gold.” In a wide-ranging and expansive story, the journalist explored the company and its origins.

Much of the article centered on MC Hammer and his important role as celebrity endorser for the company. “I got involved with Cash4Gold by participating in their Super Bowl ad last year,” Hammer told the paper, adding that his interest in gold and the company led him to seek and acquire a long-term and deeper role within Cash4Gold. According to a translation of the article, “In Hammer Aronson found a golden spokesman.”

Hammer recalled how his fascination with gold began during his days as a youth hanging around the flamboyant baseball players in the Oakland Athletics’ clubhouse.

The Dutch article also focused upon the simplicity of Cash4Gold’s service offering and the great convenience it provides for customers who are looking to monetize old or unwanted jewelry but don’t want to run the risk of running into friends or neighbors selling their wares in a pawnshop or jewelry story. The reporter also emphasized that all customers have 12 days from the date on their check to contact Cash4Gold and have their items returned postage-paid and insured at no cost to them.

In addition to the Netherlands, Cash4Gold is operating in the United States, the UK, Spain, Germany and Canada.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 20 / -- Cash4Gold (www.cash4gold.com), the world's #1 gold buyer direct from consumers, recently closed the books on a successful 2009 by securing its spot as the number one name in the industry that the company created. Cash4Gold experienced massive growth and expansion during the past year and looks to continue that through 2010 and beyond.

Cash4Gold kicked off 2009 with a bang when the decision was made to advertise during the Super Bowl, the largest stage for advertising in U.S. television each year. The spot featuring three-time Grammy Award-winner MC Hammer and the late television legend Ed McMahon received rave reviews from critics. The ad put Cash4Gold into the U.S. pop culture lexicon and vaulted the company toward international expansion.

In 2009, Cash4Gold expanded to new territories by opening for business in the UK, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain. Consumers in the new markets have shown interest in the ease and simplicity of Cash4Gold's service. Any customers who change their minds can have their items returned at no cost by contacting the company within 12 days of the date on the check, as stated by CEO Jeff Aronson. There is now no need for residents to travel to the local pawn shop or jewelry store, as they can mail in their gold from the comfort of their own homes.

"In 2009, Cash4Gold experienced tremendous growth in the United States and beyond," said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. "Following our successful Super Bowl spot we decided it was time to take our mail-in gold buying service to additional territories worldwide. Consumers in each of these markets showed a desire to use our service right off the bat, and we have seen great success. We are continuing with plans to launch in additional markets in 2010."

In addition to the Super Bowl spot and the company's international expansion, Cash4Gold made a number of charitable contributions during 2009. At the end of last year, company spokesman MC Hammer joined CEO Jeff Aronson to hand out toys to children in need during the holidays in South Florida. The company also helped launch a Feed The Children campaign in the UK called Breakfast2Live, among other various charitable initiatives.

So far this year the company has undertaken a series of steps to support those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Haiti, including collecting more than 570 pairs of shoes, matching dollar for dollar all employee donations to the Red Cross and Feed the Children and collecting canned goods, infant supplies and other food items
