CASH4GOLD APPLAUDS NEWS OF WORLD’S LARGEST GOLD BAR RECENTLY POURED IN JAPAN

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 18, 2010 - Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, follows news related to the precious metals industry and noticed an interesting item this week. According to a web report, a company in Japan has poured the “world’s largest gold bar.”

This gold bar, reportedly the biggest on the planet, measures 17.9 inches by 8.9 inches by 6.7 inches high and weighs about 551.15 pounds. Its size might best be compared to a shoe box. Based on the dimensions of the gold bar, the story reports that the huge gold bar would have an estimated precious metals melt value of nearly $10,000,000. Melt value refers to the value of actual precious metals included in an item and does not account for the historical or sentimental value of a crafted piece of jewelry.

While it has never received an item as large as the Japanese gold bar, Cash4Gold receives items each day at its high-security, state-of-the-art processing and melting facility in South Florida.
Cash4Gold has grown each year since launching in April 2007, and currently employs over 300 people. The company expanded significantly after running a commercial during the Super Bowl in 2009 featuring three-time Grammy Award-winner MC Hammer and the late television legend Ed McMahon.

Cash4Gold Estimates Melt Value of Super Bowl Trophy

The following press release hit the wires yesterday. In this latest in a series of humorous releases, Cash4Gold estimated the melt value of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Read on for the full text or check it out here.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CASH4GOLD ESTIMATES MELT VALUE OF SUPER BOWL TROPHY AT $1,450

World’s Leading Mail-In Gold Buyer Congratulates the New Orleans Saints

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 12, 2010 – Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the trusted industry leader in mail-in gold buying, congratulates the New Orleans Saints, who captured the 2010 Super Bowl title. Following the game, the victors hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the field in Miami before the energetic crowd and hundreds of millions of other people around the world watching on television.

The highly coveted seven-pound trophy is made entirely of sterling silver and stands at 22 inches tall. It is crafted in the image of a regulation-sized football perched on a solid base. Appraisers at Cash4Gold’s state-of-the-art processing facility in Florida have estimated the melt value of the trophy at $1,450 based upon the current price of silver, while recognizing that the trophy is in reality truly priceless.

Melt value refers only to the quantity of actual precious metals included in an item and does not account for artistic, historic, or sentimental value. In the case of the Super Bowl trophy, its fine craftsmanship, as well as its historical value and the tremendous athletic achievement it represents clearly make it infinitely more valuable than its mere melt value.

“With the Super Bowl taking place here in South Florida, I was fortunate enough to be in the middle of all the excitement at the game joined by my good friend MC Hammer,” said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. “We congratulate the Saints on their historic and memorable victory. As a lifelong football fan I would not dream of having the Vince Lombardi Trophy melted down at Cash4Gold’s high-security headquarters. However, we would be honored to subject the trophy to a detailed metallurgical analysis using our state-of-the-art assaying equipment if the Saints want to bring it by.”

Cash4Gold on the Grammys

Cash4Gold today issued the following press release related to last night's Grammy awards.

With typical good humor, the company offered its congratulations to the talented artists and provided an approximate melt value for the famous statuettes presented to the winners. The estimation assumed that the trophies were made of 24 karat gold (they are not) and assumed that the spot price was $1,080 per ounce.

As it has done in prior press releases, the company took the opportunity to explain the concept of melt value, reminding readers that melt value refers only to value of the actual precious metals content included in an item. The company noted that the fine craftsmanship of the Grammy awards themselves, as well as their sentimental and historical value and the musical achievement that they represent, make them infinitely more valuable than their mere melt value.

CASH4GOLD CONGRATULATES 2010 GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS, ESTIMATING MELT VALUE OF THE FAMOUS TROPHIES

Pompano Beach, Fla. – February 1, 2010 - Cash4Gold (www.Cash4Gold.com), the world’s leading mail-in gold buyer, congratulates all of the winners last night who took home hardware at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Three-time Grammy Award-winner and hip hop legend MC Hammer works very closely with Cash4Gold and has been associated with the company ever since he appeared in the company’s 2009 Super Bowl advertisement with the late and great Ed McMahon.

Dozens of the top names in music picked up trophies during the industry’s biggest night, which was held at The Staples Center in Los Angeles. All of the winners went home with the famous award that reportedly weighs four pounds and four ounces. Assuming the Grammy trophies were comprised of solid gold, the sixty-eight ounce trophy would be worth an estimated $73,440 in melt value with gold currently trading at approximately $1,080 an ounce. Melt value refers only to value of the actual precious metals content included in an item.

In reality, the melt value of the Grammy statuette is worth far less since it purportedly contains only a small amount of gold in the form of gold plating and is composed mostly of other metals such as zinc and aluminum. However, the fine craftsmanship of the trophies, as well as their sentimental and historical value and the musical achievement that they represent make them infinitely more valuable than their mere melt value.

“We congratulate all of the talented winners from last night’s Grammy Awards,” said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. “Winning a Grammy is the culmination of hard work and dedication for each of the artists. We work hard to provide our customers with a top-notch customer experience, just as these musicians dedicate themselves to their music.”

Cash4Gold offers its convenient mail-in gold buying service to consumers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
